Can I just walk in to your store or do I need an appointment?
Because we work out of our home and do not have a typical store front, an appointment is required per local township rules. However, we are very flexable with our hours and can accommodate just about any reasonable time. You can give us a call to set up an appointment or use our online appointment scheduler. How old do I have to be to purchase NFA items?
To purchase NFA items like Short Barrel Rifles and Suppressors from a dealer you must be 21 years old.
What is required for purchasing NFA items?
As of 1 January, 2026 the $200.00 Tax Stamp fee is abolished, however you are still required to fill out all the same forms as in the past and that also includes a passport type photo and either 2 sets of ink fingerprint cards or digital fingerprints. If you are considering more than one can or sbr/sbs, we higly recommend digital fingerprints. See our NFA Transfers Info page in the main menu for more information.

As we are a homebased FFL we can be very flexable with our hours. The above hours are not written in stone. We will do our best to find a time that works for both of us.
I see a gun on your website that I may want to purchase. Can I come in and look at it?
We do not stock any firearms anymore. All the inventory you see on our e-Commerce website is the stock quantity at our wholesalers. Anything that is available online we can generally have in 3-4 business days for you.
I am looking for a particular item but I don't see it on your e-Commerce site. Can you get one for me?
Most likely! Just because you don't see it on our site doesn't mean we can't get it for you. Give us a call, text or send us an email and we will do our best to find what you are looking for. We can then give you a formal quote for purchasing it.
What type of payments modes do you accept?
We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express credit/debit cards. We will also accept Cash, Money orders, and any type of bank draft. We do not accept personal checks.

Can I order an item online and then pay in cash when it arrives?
All items require payment in full before it will be ordered from our wholesalers. We are currently not accepting cash payments online but you can give us a shout and set up a time to come in and pay in cash. We can then order your item.
Do you ship to other states?
Of course! We have shipped anywhere from Massachusetts to San Diego and from Miami to the Mount St Helens area. We will ship to any state that allows it except for a select few and as long as it is within your states restrictions. We even will ship to California! I just sold a firearm on an auction site. What do I need to do to get it to the buyer?
All firearms that go state to state are required to be shipped from an FFL to another FFL. Oberon Arms provides a shipping service just for that purpose. Call or email us and we can go over how that needs to be done. If the buyer and seller are both in Michigan, handguns are required to go FFL to FFL. Long guns can be shipped from seller to a FFL.
I have had some issues in the past with law enforcement. How do I know if I can purchase a firearm?

Do you have a delivery service for items I purchase from your website?
We do offer delivery for items other than firearms. Firearms cannot be delivered as the purchaser must pass a background check that can only be done at Oberon Arms. We do charge for delivery and it can be added at checkout when purchasing online as long as it is within a 15 mile radius of Oberon Arms. There are some restrictions. Go to our "Delivery Options" page for complete info.
Do you offer any discounts on purchases or transfers?
We do! We offer cash discounts for items that are paid for in cash that can be picked up locally. (We are working on getting our e-Commerce website set up with ACH transactions so customers can pay with direct cash transfers from their personal accounts). We also offer FFL transfer discounts to active Military, Law Enforcement, and First Responders.
Do you accept any payments by payment apps such as PayPal, Apple Pay, or Venmo?
No. None of the payment apps such as PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, etc. are 2A friendly. They expressly forbid their services to be used in the purchase of firearms, ammunition, and related products.
