Oberon Arms is a small family owned business in Jenison, Michigan that strives to do the best job possible for our clients. We pride ourselves in being responsive to their needs and to help them find what they are looking for, giving them the best possible pricing on the products they purchase from us. Our founder, Bill Bultema, is retired from manufacturing after spending over 35 years as either a supervisor or plant manager working for companies that supplied the heavy truck, automotive, and office furniture industries. He loves meeting new clients and spending time talking and trading stories.
We call the people that use our services, clients, not customers. A customer is someone who purchases from you and then leaves maybe never to return. A client is someone who also purchases from you but you build a relationship with them that can extend into a friendship.
The company name comes from a beloved pet cat that was Bill’s sidekick for almost 14 years. Bill’s wife passed in early 2019 and with Oberon passing in March of 2020, Bill decided that he needed a new hobby. Always an avid hunter and fisherman, and with a love of firearms (and cats), in July of 2020, a new company was born. It wasn’t difficult for Bill to come up with a name for it. This was a way to honor his companion after all the years of dedication and love that Oberon showed to his human. Give us a try. You won’t be disappointed! (Miss you, buddy!)
